WHO WE ARE
HYH Biotechnology is a Brazilian deep tech company specializing in molecular engineering and the development of biotechnology solutions for complex industry challenges.
Through our Research as a Service (RaaS) model, we integrate bioinformatics, molecular modeling, rational design, and experimental validation to develop bioactive peptides, RNA interference technologies, and diagnostic solutions.
Based in Londrina, Paraná, Brazil, we work with companies, universities, and research centers to connect science, innovation, and the market.
Two scientific journeys united by a shared purpose: to drive change
OUR STORY
The story of HYH Biotechnology began in the Graduate Program in Genetics and Molecular Biology at the State University of Londrina, where Renata da Rosa was a researcher and doctoral supervisor, and Nayara Okumoto was beginning her PhD.
Before joining the program, Nayara had already completed a master’s degree in Bioprocess Engineering and Biotechnology and gained professional experience in companies and institutions working in technology, biotechnology, and technological development. Her career already reflected an interest in turning scientific knowledge into solutions for the market.
When Nayara approached Renata to ask her to become her doctoral supervisor, she was direct about the future she wanted to build: “Professor, I don’t want to be an academic. I want to be an entrepreneur.” At the time, Renata, a CNPq researcher in technological development, was already leading technology transfer projects and cooperation agreements between the university and companies. She also aspired to establish an innovation company that would connect scientific knowledge with industry needs.
Meeting Nayara created an opportunity to turn that vision into reality.
From then on, the two combined their complementary experience in research, molecular engineering, bioprocesses, technological development, and innovation. This partnership gave rise to HYH Biotechnology: a company founded to take science beyond the laboratory and turn discoveries into technological assets capable of delivering real impact.
A company born from science, with the future in its name
HYH Biotechnology was founded in Londrina in 2024, driven by the belief that scientific knowledge must go beyond the laboratory and become technologies capable of delivering real impact.
The name HYH brings together the initials of Heitor, Yasmin, and Henrique—the children who inspired the creation of a company committed not only to innovation, but also to the future we want to leave for generations to come.
From the outset, we built HYH to connect science and the market, bringing together diverse expertise and establishing a collaborative network capable of turning industrial challenges into technological assets.
